CEO says Inter RAO receives offers for Ekibastuz GRES-2 plant
MOSCOW, Jun 9 (PRIME) -- Russian power holding has received several offers to sell its stake in the Ekibastuz GRES-2 power plant in Kazakhstan, CEO Boris Kovalchuk told reporters on Friday.
“We have several offers from different groups, we have the price, but I would not like to go into detail as we are only at the stage of talks. But we as management have made a strategic decision to sell the 50% stake in the Ekibastuz GRES-2,” he said.
The other 50% in the plant, whose installed capacity stands at 1,000 megawatts, is owned by Kazakh company Samruk-Energo.
